Day 3 Rhodes (Greece)
Monday, September 7, 2020

Rhodes (Greece)

If Kusadasi gave us just a glimpse of the Ancient World, then this destination leaves it to our imagination. The Colossus of Rhodes once bestrode the harbor but he is long gone. So you can take in the lovely Old Town, a maze of atmospheric cobbled streets that will transport you back to the Byzantine Empire and beyond. We have a whole day here, giving you plenty of time to discover the crystal clear waters, wonderful beaches and lush wooded valleys. Complimentary excursion to Lindos is included. Accommodation Cruise (B,L,D)

  • Approaching Rhodes island by sea is an experience all of its own. The clifftop Acropolis at Lindos rises slowly from the still blue waters, evoking the ancient Colossus which once adorned the harbor, and modern hillside villages lay in the shadow of the imposing medieval fortification.

Excursion Included:

Medieval tour - Acropolis of Lindos and the Citadel of the Knights.

Centuries of culture and layer upon layer of extraordinary civilizations await to be discovered during our bus tour through impressive Lindos and within the awe-inspiring structure of the Acropolis of Lindos. We will follow the footsteps of heroes as we walk along the Knight's Street in the heart of historic Rhodes. The seven lodges of the Order, still bearing their original coats of arms, are displayed along the cobblestone street where Rhodes’ history was written for over two centuries.
